  • Can You Handle the Truth?

Another Brick in the Wall - Week #1

    Can You Handle the Truth?

    Nehemiah 1:1-2:4

    1. What had been destroyed for over 100 years was rebuilt in 52 days

These are the memoirs of Nehemiah son of Hacaliah. In late autumn, in the month of Kislev, in the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes’ reign, I was at the fortress of Susa. Nehemiah 1:1-2

    2. Prayer- Jesus, what area or areas do you want to build or rebuild in me?

    3. The work of Jesus begins when we are willing to tell the truth

They said to me, “Things are not going well for those who returned to the province of Judah. They are in great trouble and disgrace. The wall of Jerusalem has been torn down, and the gates have been destroyed by fire.” Nehemiah 1:3

    • We cannot get right with God until we are willing to admit what is wrong in our lives

When I heard this, I sat down and wept. In fact, for days I mourned, fasted, and prayed to the God of heaven. 5 Then I said, “O Lord, God of heaven, the great and awesome God who keeps his covenant of unfailing love with those who love him and obey his commands, Nehemiah 1:4-5

    • Our circumstances do not alter His character

Then I said, “O Lord, God of heaven, the great and awesome God who keeps his covenant of unfailing love with those who love him and obey his commands, 6 listen to my prayer! Look down and see me praying night and day for your people Israel. I confess that we have sinned against you. Yes, even my own family and I have sinned! 7 We have sinned terribly by not obeying the commands, decrees, and regulations that you gave us through your servant Moses. Nehemiah 1:5-7

    4. Confession is when we tell Jesus the truth and come into agreement with Him

    • Confession is not for the purpose of information, it’s for the purpose of transformation

In those days I was the king’s cup-bearer Nehemiah 1:11

    5. God is not trying to push us away, but to position us for immeasurably more then we could ever ask or imagine

Early the following spring, in the month of Nisan, during the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes’ reign, I was serving the king his wine. I had never before appeared sad in his presence. Nehemiah 2:1

So the king asked me, “Why are you looking so sad? You don’t look sick to me. You must be deeply troubled.” Then I was terrified, 3 but I replied, “Long live the king! How can I not be sad? For the city where my ancestors are buried is in ruins, and the gates have been destroyed by fire.” Nehemiah 2:2-3

    6. Prayer- Jesus, give me the wisdom to know the truth and the courage to tell the truth, even when it’s hard

    • The consequences of concealment are far greater than the consequences of confession

The king asked, “Well, how can I help you?” Nehemiah 2:4

    • The truth is foundational for the building or rebuilding process in our life to start

    7. Telling the truth is the beginning of a breakthrough

  • Whose Hand is It In?

    Encounter - Week #4

    Whose Hand is it in?

    John 19:38-39

Afterward Joseph of Arimathea, who had been a secret disciple of Jesus (because he feared the Jewish leaders), asked Pilate for permission to take down Jesus’ body. When Pilate gave permission, Joseph came and took the body away. 39 With him came Nicodemus, the man who had come to Jesus at night. He brought about seventy-five pounds of perfumed ointment made from myrrh and aloes. John 19:38-39

Four Reasons I Had for not Giving:

    1.  I work too hard for my money, and I don’t have enough as it is

“I am the Lord, and I do not change. That is why you descendants of Jacob are not already destroyed. 7 Ever since the days of your ancestors, you have scorned my decrees and failed to obey them. Now return to me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “But you ask, ‘How can we return when we have never gone away?’ 8 “Should people cheat God? Yet you have cheated me! “But you ask, ‘What do you mean? When did we ever cheat you?’ “You have cheated me of the tithes and offerings due to me. 9 You are under a curse, for your whole nation has been cheating me. 10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test! 11 Your crops will be abundant, for I will guard them from insects and disease. Your grapes will not fall from the vine before they are ripe,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. Malachi 3:6-11

    2. Law - Old Testament verses Grace - New Testament

Anyone who has sexual relations with an animal must certainly be put to death. Exodus 22:19

“You must have a designated area outside the camp where you can go to relieve yourself. 13 Each of you must have a spade as part of your equipment. Whenever you relieve yourself, dig a hole with the spade and cover the excrement. Deuteronomy 23:12-13

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6

    Psalm 23

    • Grace is always greater than the law

    3. Jesus did not have my wholeheart

Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be. Matthew 6:21

No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money. Matthew 6:24

    • Jesus said the number one competitor for our hearts is money

    4. I’m selfish

Finally the craftsmen who were working on the sanctuary left their work. 5 They went to Moses and reported, “The people have given more than enough materials to complete the job the Lord has commanded us to do!” 6 So Moses gave the command, and this message was sent throughout the camp: “Men and women, don’t prepare any more gifts for the sanctuary. We have enough!” So the people stopped bringing their sacred offerings. 7 Their contributions were more than enough to complete the whole project. Exodus 36:4-7

And the people of Israel did as Moses had instructed; they asked the Egyptians for clothing and articles of silver and gold. 36 The Lord caused the Egyptians to look favorably on the Israelites, and they gave the Israelites whatever they asked for. So they stripped the Egyptians of their wealth! Exodus 12:35-36

    Encounter - Week #3

From Nic at Night to the Great Commission

    John 7:45-52

When the Temple guards returned without having arrested Jesus, the leading priests and Pharisees demanded, “Why didn’t you bring him in?” 46 “We have never heard anyone speak like this!” the guards responded. John 7:45-46

    • Christianity builds up, religion attacks and tears down

Have you been led astray, too?” the Pharisees mocked. 48 “Is there a single one of us rulers or Pharisees who believes in him? 49 This foolish crowd follows him, but they are ignorant of the law. God’s curse is on them!” John 7:47-49

    • New birth is an act of God where eternal life is imparted to the believer

Then Nicodemus, the leader who had met with Jesus earlier, spoke up. 51 “Is it legal to convict a man before he is given a hearing?” he asked. 52 They replied, “Are you from Galilee, too? Search the Scriptures and see for yourself—no prophet ever comes[i] from Galilee!” John 7:50-52

Jeroboam II recovered the territories of Israel between Lebo-hamath and the Dead Sea, just as the Lord, the God of Israel, had promised through Jonah son of Amittai, the prophet from Gath-hepher. 2 Kings 14:25

The Lord gave this message to Jonah son of Amittai: 2 “Get up and go to the great city of Nineveh. Announce my judgment against it because I have seen how wicked its people are.” Jonah 1:1-2

    1.  We want for you to experience transformational growth

    How do we do that?

    a. Show up consistently

    b. Lean in

    c. Step up

All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. Acts 2:42

    2.  We want you to think big for you and our church

    3.  We want you to take the Great Commission seriously so it will impact you personally

    Great Commission passages:

    Matthew 28:18-20

    Mark 16:15

    John 20:21

    Luke 24:46-49

    Acts 1:8

    • Jesus was very clear that His last command should be our first priority

Then the eleven disciples left for Galilee, going to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him—but some of them doubted! 18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:16-19

    • Our next Baptism Sunday is November 8th

Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20

  • I Tell You the Truth

    Encounter Week #2

    I Tell You the Truth

    John 3:3

Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.” John 3:3

Three Things that are true about you:

    1. You can do exactly what God has called you to

    • God has a calling on your life

The Lord gave me this message: Jeremiah 1:4

    • If we want in on God’s Will, we have to get into God’s Word

5 “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” 6 “O Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I can’t speak for you! I’m too young!” 7 The Lord replied, “Don’t say, ‘I’m too young,’ for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you. 8 And don’t be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and will protect you. I, the Lord, have spoken!” 9 Then the Lord reached out and touched my mouth and said, “Look, I have put my words in your mouth! Jeremiah 1:5-9

O Lord, you misled me, and I allowed myself to be misled. You are stronger than I am, and you overpowered me. Now I am mocked every day; everyone laughs at me. 8 When I speak, the words burst out. “Violence and destruction!” I shout. So these messages from the Lord have made me a household joke. 9 But if I say I’ll never mention the Lord or speak in his name, his word burns in my heart like a fire. It’s like a fire in my bones! I am worn out trying to hold it in! I can’t do it! Jeremiah 20:7-9

    2. Jesus’ power is greater than your problems

Jesus left Tyre and went up to Sidon before going back to the Sea of Galilee and the region of the Ten Towns. 32 A deaf man with a speech impediment was brought to him, and the people begged Jesus to lay his hands on the man to heal him. 33 Jesus led him away from the crowd so they could be alone. He put his fingers into the man’s ears. Then, spitting on his own fingers, he touched the man’s tongue. Mark 7:31-33

    • Sometimes the miracle comes through the mess

Looking up to heaven, he sighed and said, “Ephphatha,” which means, “Be opened!” 35 Instantly the man could hear perfectly, and his tongue was freed so he could speak plainly! Mark 7:34-35

    PRAYER:

Jesus, I’m open to whatever you want to do, however you want to do it

    3. God has not givenup on you

    • You are not big enough or strong enough to out sin the grace of God, or outrun the mercy of God

I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. John 15:15

Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus. 5 He called out to them, “Friends, haven’t you any fish?” John 21:4-5

  • I Was Made for More

    Encounter - Week #1

    I Was Made for More

    John 3:1-3; John 4:4-8

    • The biggest lie the enemy uses to get us off track is, I am notenough

Two types of people in John 3 and John 4:

    1. The religious

There was a man named Nicodemus, a Jewish religious leader who was a Pharisee. 2 After dark one evening, he came to speak with Jesus. “Rabbi,” he said, “we all know that God has sent you to teach us. Your miraculous signs are evidence that God is with you.” 3 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.” John 3:1-3

Why Religious People Struggle With “I Am Not Enough”:

    a. I can’t do enough

    • Christian activity does not equal maturity

    b. I can’t ask for help

    • Repentance means to change the mind

    • Sin is sin no matter who agrees or disagrees with it

    2. The rebellious

He had to go through Samaria on the way. 5 Eventually he came to the Samaritan village of Sychar, near the field that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. 6 Jacob’s well was there; and Jesus, tired from the long walk, sat wearily beside the well about noontime. 7 Soon a Samaritan woman came to draw water, and Jesus said to her, “Please give me a drink.” 8 He was alone at the time because his disciples had gone into the village to buy some food. John 4:4-8

What did this woman and Nicodemus have in common?

    1. Shame

    • Shame will shackle us to a past that Jesus died to save us from and rob us of the future He has for us

    2. Despair

    3. A need for a relationship with Jesus

    • Christianity = Christ in me

    • Christ in me = I am enough

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 2 Corinthians 5:17

    1. I know who I am because I know who you are

    2. The cross of salvation was only the start

    3. Now I am Chosen

    4. Free and forgiven

    5. I have a future and it’s worth the living

    6. Because I wasn’t made to be tending a grave

    7. I was called by name born and raised back to life again. I was made for more

8.So why would I make a bed in my shame

    9. When a fountain of grace is running my way

    10. I know I am yours

    11. I was made for more

    I Love My Church! - Week 6 - August 23, 2026
    Foundations
    Acts 20:28-30 NASB 1995

    1. Complacency coupled with procrastination leads to spiritual

    [Check out http://yourcentralchurch.com/believe]

15 “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? 17 So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 So then, you will know them by their fruits. 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’ -Matthew 7:15-23 NASB 1995

    2. Compromise is seldom a blowout - it’s usually a slow leak.

8 Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory; 9 and he said to Him, “All these things I will give You, if You fall down and worship me.” -Matthew 4:8-9 NASB 1995

    3. Conformity is the result of compromise

15 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. 17 The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever. 18 Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be shown that they all are not of us. 20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know. 21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it, and because no lie is of the truth. 22 Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. 23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also. 24 As for you, let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father.

    -1 John 2:15-24 NASB 1995

Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. -Romans 12:1-2 NASB 1995

  • Rooted in Grace

I Love My Church Week #5

    Rooted in Grace

    Genesis 25:21-26; Genesis 28:10-22

    • Runners typically aren’t looking for a safe place, they’re looking for an open space.

Isaac prayed to the Lord on behalf of his wife, because she was childless. The Lord answered his prayer, and his wife Rebekah became pregnant.  Genesis 25:21

    • Sometimes when we pray, we’ve got to be willing to participate in the prayers that we’re praying

22 The babies jostled each other within her, and she said, “Why is this happening to me?” So she went to inquire of the Lord.  Genesis 25:22

    • God always wants more for us than we want for ourselves

22 The babies jostled each other within her, and she said, “Why is this happening to me?” So she went to inquire of the Lord. 23 The Lord said to her, “Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you will be separated; one people will be stronger than the other, and the older will serve the younger.” 24 When the time came for her to give birth, there were twin boys in her womb. 25 The first to come out was red, and his whole body was like a hairy garment; so they named him Esau. 26 After this, his brother came out, with his hand grasping Esau’s heel; so he was named Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when Rebekah gave birth to them. Genesis 25:22-26

    • All of us are born with an innate desire to run away from God

Jacob left Beersheba and set out for Harran. 11 When he reached a certain place, he stopped for the night because the sun had set. Taking one of the stones there, he put it under his head and lay down to sleep. 12 He had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. 13 There above it stood the Lord, and he said: “I am the Lord, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying. Genesis 28:10-13

    • Religion says, “climb up” Jesus says, “I’ll come down.”

Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south. All peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring.[d] 15 I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” 16 When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.” 17 He was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven.” 18 Early the next morning Jacob took the stone he had placed under his head and set it up as a pillar and poured oil on top of it. 19 He called that place Bethel,[e] though the city used to be called Luz. 20 Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me and will watch over me on this journey I am taking and will give me food to eat and clothes to wear 21 so that I return safely to my father’s household, then the Lord will be my God 22 and this stone that I have set up as a pillar will be God’s house, and of all that you give me I will give you a tenth.” Genesis 28:14-22

    1. When we are rooted in Grace, people meet Jesus

    • One of the biggest barriers for people meeting God are the people of God.

    • Jesus met Jacob in the House of God

    • We need to care about 2 types of people; people far from God and people who care about people that are far from God

    2. When we are rooted in Grace, we experience life change

    • Jesus changes people in His time, not our time

    • Central should be a place where you can be fully known and fully loved

    3. When we are rooted in Grace, we can respond to God’s call

    • Grace saves us and Grace sustains us when we fall down so that we can get back up

  • Four Stages of Commitment

    I Love My Church - Week #4

    Four Stages of Commitment

    Matthew 19:16-22

    • A 99% commitment to Christ is 1% too short.
    • 99% obedience is 100% disobedience

FOUR STAGES OF COMMITMENT TO JESUS THAT EVERYBODY WALKS THROUGH:

    1.  The Interest Stage

Just then a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?” Matthew 19:16

    2. The Involvement Stage

“Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.” Matthew 19:17

    • Christianity is simply a series of next steps

    3.  The Inspection Stage

Which ones?” he inquired. Jesus replied, “‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, 19 honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’” 20 “All these I have kept,” the young man said. “What do I still lack?” Matthew 18:19-20

2 REASONS WE DON’T ASK JESUS THE QUESTION "WHAT DO I STILL LACK?":

    A.  We are afraid of what He is going to say

    B.  We know what He is going to say

    • The best way to disobey God is to completely ignore Him

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6

    4. The Interruption Stage

21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” 22 When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth. Matthew 19:21-22

    • What do I still lack?
    33 min
  • Why Baptism?

    I Love My Church - Week #3
    Why Baptism?
    Acts 9:1-18; Acts 22:12-16

Meanwhile, Saul was uttering threats with every breath and was eager to kill the Lord’s followers. So he went to the high priest.  Acts 9:1

    • You can be religious and not have a relationship with Jesus

He requested letters addressed to the synagogues in Damascus, asking for their cooperation in the arrest of any followers of the Way he found there. He wanted to bring them—both men and women—back to Jerusalem in chains. Acts 9:2

    • Jesus Christ shatters the power that shame has in our lives

As he was approaching Damascus on this mission, a light from heaven suddenly shone down around him. 4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul! Saul! Why are you persecuting me?” 5 “Who are you, lord?” Saul asked. And the voice replied, “I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting! 6 Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” Acts 9:3-6

    • It's essential if we're going to grow in our relationship with Jesus to be plugged in to a local church

The men with Saul stood speechless, for they heard the sound of someone’s voice but saw no one! 8 Saul picked himself up off the ground, but when he opened his eyes he was blind. So his companions led him by the hand to Damascus. 9 He remained there blind for three days and did not eat or drink. 10 Now there was a believer in Damascus named Ananias. The Lord spoke to him in a vision, calling, “Ananias!” “Yes, Lord!” he replied. 11 The Lord said, “Go over to Straight Street, to the house of Judas. When you get there, ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul. He is praying to me right now.  Acts 9:7-11

    • Even when we don’t see God working, He’s working

I have shown him a vision of a man named Ananias coming in and laying hands on him so he can see again.” 13 “But Lord,” exclaimed Ananias, “I’ve heard many people talk about the terrible things this man has done to the believers in Jerusalem! 14 And he is authorized by the leading priests to arrest everyone who calls upon your name.” 15 But the Lord said, “Go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel. Acts 9:12-15

    • When God shows us our next step, He’s not changing His mind

But the Lord said, “Go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel. 16 And I will show him how much he must suffer for my name’s sake.” 17 So Ananias went and found Saul. He laid his hands on him and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road, has sent me so that you might regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” Acts 9:15-17

    • One of the things that will destroy somebody’s life from the inside out is the unwillingness to forgive

    • Forgiveness is not a onetime thing

So Ananias went and found Saul. He laid his hands on him and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road, has sent me so that you might regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18 Instantly something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he regained his sight. Then he got up and was baptized. Acts 9:17-18

    • Baptism is us taking one step closer to Jesus

A man named Ananias lived there. He was a godly man, deeply devoted to the law, and well regarded by all the Jews of Damascus. 13 He came and stood beside me and said, ‘Brother Saul, regain your sight.’ And that very moment I could see him! 14 “Then he told me, ‘The God of our ancestors has chosen you to know his will and to see the Righteous One and hear him speak. 15 For you are to be his witness, telling everyone what you have seen and heard. 16 What are you waiting for? Get up and be baptized. Have your sins washed away by calling on the name of the Lord.’ Acts 22:12-16

  • We Believe

    I Love My Church - Week 2

    We Believe

    • What we believe determines how we behave.

Seven things we believe at our church:

    1.  We believe in God the Father

    • If we view our earthly father in a negative light, many times, that is the image we will project onto our heavenly Father

This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, Matthew 6:9

9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!  Matthew 7:9-11

    • God is a good Father who wants good things for His children.

    2.  We believe in Jesus Christ

    • Jesus never ran for office, never wrote a book, never led an army, never invented anything, yet He is the most talked about, studied and well-regarded person who has ever lived.

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

    3.   We believe in The Holy Spirit

    • The Holy Spirit comes into us the moment we receive Jesus

The Holy Spirit provides in our life:

    A.  Direction

    • The Holy Spirit of God and the word of God work hand in hand. They never work in opposition.

    B.  Attention

    • He puts our attention on Jesus and on other people.

    C.  Peace

    4.   We believe in The Crucifixion

    • Jesus was crucified for our rebellion against God

Then he released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified. Matthew 27:26

    5.   We believe Jesus Conquered Death

    6.   We believe in The Resurrection

    • Because we have an empty tomb we have no empty promises in Christ.

    7.   We believe Jesus Is Coming Back

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son but only the Father.  Matthew 24:36

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.” John 14:1-6
