We need to talk about Surfside. We also need to do better about mental health in this country. It's just dawned on me that Conspiracy Theories are a coping mechanism to trauma. I get it, reality is hard to face. Some of us would rather this out landish claim and point blame than to believe that bad things happen to good people. It is a horrible reality of humanity. But at what point do we lose our humanity because we're busy peddling false claims? At what point is it all just mental illness? This county has a history of people downplaying or outright denying that an event has occurred because the truth is too bitter, too grim to face. How can we learn from the tragedies around us when the world around us is constantly falling apart at the seams? What level of knowledge do we need to have as people to counter act the inability to show even an once of remorse for your fellow human beings? Oh I forgot, some of you think this country is ran by lizard people. We need to do better.
