Sermon from 5/17/2025

On Sunday we began a new series in Colossians, looking at 1:1-14. Paul starts off his letter with a lot of positive comments, including their faith being passed onto them by Epaphras. We all have our own Epaphras' in our lives and we are called to be Epaphras' to others!
I referenced Sarah Righter Major during my message - if you're unfamiliar with her, this short article is very insightful.

On Sunday we celebrated our youth and kids and our strength as an inter-generational church. May we continue to be a place where our kids can explore what it means to follow Jesus through all of life's seasons.

On Sunday we heard from our friends the Garbers, as they are looking to move to Scotland for their next season of ministry. You can read more about that and support their work right here.

On Sunday we finished up with our look at the prophet Jonah, focusing in on the second half of the book.

On Sunday we we finished our Lenten Feasting and Fasting sermon series, with an invitation to all - we are all invited to the table with the risen Savior! 

On Sunday we continued on with our Lenten sermon series, examining the story of Jesus' Triumphal Entry, Cleansing of the Temple and the Cursing of the Fig Tree (as found inMark 11). 

On Sunday we continued on with our Lenten sermon series, examining the story of Jesus' anointing at Simon the Leper's house in Matthew 26:6-13. We spent much of our time wrestling with the statement "The poor you will always have among you".

On Sunday we continued on with our Lenten sermon series, examining the turning of water into wine from John 2:1-12. This miracle pointed to who Christ was and asks us to wrestle with our tendency to want to turn wine back into water.
