After three weeks occupying the nation's legislature, Taiwanese students finally vacated the premises on April 10, 2014. Today we revisit an episode that aired the day after the protests concluded seven years ago.
During the occupation, I climbed through a window at the legislature to get an inside look at the protests, and I was amazed by what I saw: an incredible display of art, creativity, organization, trust, and young people bravely working together and speaking their minds. In today’s Ear to the Ground, I bring you the voices of the students as they near the end of the road.
