In a new study, SmartAsset crunched the numbers to find the best U.S. cities for young professionals and Sioux Falls comes out on top! Today, John speaks with AJ Smith, VP of Financial Education who oversaw the research.
Sioux Falls is a great city for young workers looking for opportunity. At 2.9%, this city has the sixth-lowest unemployment rate for young people (those between the ages of 25 and 34) in the study. And according to our data, about 2.9% of establishments in Sioux Falls are built for entertainment or the arts. That’s the seventh-highest density of entertainment establishments in our analysis, so fun shouldn't be hard to find. Additionally, the city ranks as an affordable place to live. The median rent eats up just 22% of the median earnings, placing Sioux Falls seventh-lowest in that metric.
