back in kennewick i rise again

and make my way down to the river.

a few ducks and geese are gathered here,

oblivious to my arrival.

no one else around, i climb up on

a concrete block beside the shoreline

and stand here like a statue of man

left here after the apocalypse.

i don't exist but still see and love.
