Warfield wrote that -the Lord's Day is placed in our hands by the authority of the apostles of Christ, under the undiminished sanction of the eternal Law of God.- Where is this spirit today-----Super Bowl Sunday- is just one example among many, that our nation, and more to the point, the professing church has abandoned our forebears' practice of observing the Lord's Day. If previous years are any indication, nearly one third of all Americans will watch the Super Bowl on Sunday night. Many churches have compromised during the coronavirus scare and stopped meeting as God's people. However, long before the coronavirus, churches in America have steadily been minimizing fellowship centered around God's Word on the Lord's Day.
