UK-based producer and DJ Lloyd Barwood joins the Super Progressive podcast for an in-depth conversation about one of the most exciting rises in the progressive house scene right now. Fresh off landing the number one spot on Beatport with "Nothing Like It Was" [0:11], released on Sasha's Last Night on Earth label, Lloyd opens up about the journey behind the track, how it was written specifically for a set where he handed the decks over to Sasha [1:23], and how it ultimately became one of the most-played tracks in Sasha's sets over the past six months [2:12].

Lloyd shares the inspiring reality that his number one hit was made in his spare bedroom [3:55]. He reflects on the surreal experience of going back to back with his all-time favorite DJ, Sasha, for the very first time [28:53], and describes the unforgettable moment at Balance Croatia 2026 when Hernan Cattaneo walked out of a meet and greet mid-set just to come say hello and raise his hand to the crowd [10:12].

The conversation also dives into the creative advice Sasha gave Lloyd about locking into his signature sound [26:09], the pressures of balancing a full-time day job with a rapidly accelerating music career [14:45], and the tight-knit crew of friends and family who travel with him every step of the way [32:54].
