'Divine Providence in our lives, may seem sometimes to tarry, to be long in springing into action, because God prefers to shower us with His generosity at the time when we are most able to appreciate it. That is why we must always endeavour to draw closer to Our Lord through fidelity to prayer, to the Commandments and the gospel counsels: poverty, chastity and obedience. These must permeate our lives. And only then gradually we will learn to distinguish providence from luck or chance.' — Fr. John Brucciani.
