Adam has known Charles for 14 years, and in that time they’ve shared countless memories with one very special car — his Ferrari F40. It’s no secret the F40 has always been Adam’s dream car, but for Charles, this isn’t just a poster on a wall. It’s a dream he’s been living for 22 years.

This chat isn’t a spec sheet or a review. It’s the real story of what it’s like to chase an icon, buy one outright in cash before even owning a house, then go on to own two F40s, none other than the ex–Rod Stewart car in yellow and still choose to drive it as intended, year after year.

We talk about what makes the F40 so special, whether it ever starts to feel “normal” after more than two decades of ownership, and how values and collectability can begin to change your relationship with a car that was once simply there to be used.
