What is it that makes a good disciple? We emphasize Bible teaching and Bible knowledge as essential to discipleship -- and so it is. But that strong emphasis can become twisted into assuming someone is a true disciple because they have a head full of Bible knowledge -- even if that knowledge seems to make little practical day-to-day difference. James says that is a delusion. (James 1:22) We are deluded if we think hearing (and knowing) is enough.
