This week we interview special guest Suanne Spoke. Suanne has had an extensive career in theatre, television, film and the class room. Suanne, known for roles in films such as Whiplash (2014), War of the Worlds (2005) and K.R.A.P (2019) as well as countless television appearances on "Seinfeld," "E.R.," "The X-Files" and so much more!
In theatre she has been recognized for her work as both an actress and as a producer, re-envisioning classic works and helming West Coast & National premieres. Suanne was most recently seen at the Fountain Theatre in the West Coast premiere of Athol Fugard’s “The Painted Rocks at Revolver Creek”, named by the LA Times as one of the 10 best plays of 2015. She is a three time recipient of the prestigious Ovation Award for Lead Performance by an Actress, the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle award for both Best Production (Producer) and Best Actress, the LA Weekly Award for Best Production (Producer/Actress) and the Backstage Garland Award for Best Actress and many other nominations, honorable mentions and acknowledgements over her 30 year career on the stage.
She currently serves on the faculty of the prestigious California Institute of the Arts in the Film Directing Program and has served as a juror for the Newport Beach Film Festival and the Austin Film Festival.
This week we talk with the crew of the award-winning documentary "Becoming Rich" (2018), including famed magician, mentalist and YouTube personality Rich Ferguson! In this film by Carlos Plummer, we follow the story of magician, mentalist, prankster, YouTube celebrity and family man Rich Ferguson as he takes us through his rags-to-riches life.
This week we talk with the cast and crew of the new short film "Gizmo" (2021).
The film, which our very own Carlos Plummer was involved with behind-the-scenes, is written and directed by Ben Vasion and Colby Clanton and will be premiering at a special student film screening on April 30, 2021!

Her credits include My Name Is Maria De Jesus (HBO), the Sundance award-winning film Spa Night (NETFLIX), the SXSW horror comedy Porno (SHUDDER), and the animated documentary Lotte that Silhouette Girl (2018 IDA Shortlist).

It's Oscar Season! We talk our predictions and personal favorites and also bring a dash of memorial to the films and moments that didn't make the cut.
This week we talk with award-winning film editor and screenwriter Randi Barros. She has edited and worked on multiple highly praised films and documentaries seen in film festivals all over the world, including the multi-award-winning documentary Lives Well Lived directed by Sky Bergman.
Randi currently teaches Screenwriting and Film Production at Cal Poly University, having recently completed her MFA in Screenwriting and Television Writing at Stephen's College's Low Residency Program. She attended the MFA Film Program at Columbia University School of the Arts and holds her BS degree in Film Studies from Ithaca College.
Currently, she is also working on multiple exciting screenwriting projects herself as well as working with the Women in Film and Television organization to kickstart a Cal Poly/Central Coast chapter.
A brilliant woman and artist in her own right, we hope you enjoy this interview as much as we did.
David Cluck has been a 1st Assistant Director on some incredible films, a few of which are the Academy-Award winning "The Artist" (2011) and "Monster" (2003). He has also worked on multiple smash hit films inlcuding "Mechanic: Resurrection" (2016) starring Jason Statham and "Oculus" (2013), the directorial debut of acclaimed horror filmmaker Mike Flanagan ("Haunting of Hill House," "Doctor Sleep," "Hush"). From working with Charlize Theron to being in front of the camera for the finale scene of "The Artist," this interview about a life in the industry was an absolute pleasure to have and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

In addition to directing, filming and producing an amazing, award-winning documentary titled "Virgin Blacktop," an "often thrilling and sometimes heart-breaking coming-of-age story" (IMDB) about his friends as they grew up in the world of competitive skating in 1970's New York and beyond, he has worked in a photojournalistic capacity with Sports Illustrated, Elle, Time, Vogue, Fortune, GQ, Road & Track, People as well as The New York Times where he’s been a contributor.
His images are featured in the seminal book “FULL BLEED”, on a Supreme x Comme des Garçons clothing line, Burton snowboards and, not to mention, Vans shoes.
He’s photographed President Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Al Gore, Henry Kissinger, has covered The White House, The United Nations, the X-Games, the Olympics, NFL Football, FIFA Soccer and the US Open. Charlie’s images have been exhibited around the world, printed on numerous products and in many books.
We talk with composer and frequent collaborator Brook Munro about his musical journey both on and off the big screen as well as the most recent work he's done with us on the upcoming feature SARA.
