They share their health and wellness journey to date and what they plan to achieve as well as how it can affect your relationship.

  • We wanted to take our health and wellness seriously as we are over the hill and we’re on the downside… though it depends where you put the hill. We’ve gone through some diets and saw a medical professional. We play Beat Sabre on VR for cardio, especially when Justin is away for work. We’re on a dirty keto diet and we’ve had some very good success. Justin lost about 20lbs from June to October last year and was doing well, but we took a break for the holidays and all that shit came back fast and furious!
  • After reading a load of books on dieting, what we came up with was basically two handfuls of veg and a handful of protein. That’s the basic outline of what we’re following now, though we did pick up the water drinking aspect of dieting and not putting sugars and artificial sweeteners in our bodies.
  • We each have our own personal goals, but we still do it together though. That was one of the things that we both struggled with initially, not working out but which diet should we choose? A lot of the things that work for one of us won’t work for the other. Especially as Cresta has gut problems. Men can generally make weight adjustments a little better than women. 
  • The benefits of having a supportive partner there, somebody who is encouraging you, is fighting the same battles as you’re fighting and fighting some of your battles for you is immense. For example, we bought energy drinks the other day,  but Justin dumped them all when they got home because for Cresta to succeed she needs his support. His support is not sitting with a can of Monster while she can’t have them. It’s not fair for him to have it that she can’t.
