Dr. Ann McDaniel explains the challenges faced with having a doctoral degree in a workforce that prefers a women to downplay their credentials to obtain a job. It is eye-opening to listen to her describe these encounters at previous places of employment and while interviewing. 

I leveraged my podcast to perform a live interview of Dr. McDaniel's work experience and education to show listeners and potential recruiters the untapped talent awaiting to be hired. If highly qualified subject matter experts like Dr. McDaniel is having these challenges, we really need to shine more light on the diversity and inclusion lens. 

After interviewing Dr. McDaniel, I coached her on areas she can consider to widen her opportunities as a subject matter expert in medical lab research (i.e. criminal forensics, pharmaceutical, healthcare insurance, etc.).
