  • Difference between the emotional brain and logical brain   
  • Letting them know they don’t need their anxiety  
  • Letting them know their anxiety is not what makes them who they are 
  • Anxiety is based on the past and future, not the present  
  • Hard for people struggling with anxiety to focus on the present and be mindful – try to bring them down to the present  
  • Not our job to know when someone is anxious – but we can take some hints  
  • Don’t engage with the anxious thoughts, wait until it calms down  
  • Anxiety never shows up to the party alone – what else are they struggling with?
