Difference between the emotional brain and logical brain
Letting them know they don’t need their anxiety
Letting them know their anxiety is not what makes them who they are
Anxiety is based on the past and future, not the present
Hard for people struggling with anxiety to focus on the present and be mindful – try to bring them down to the present
Not our job to know when someone is anxious – but we can take some hints
Don’t engage with the anxious thoughts, wait until it calms down
