This sura is Madaniya. Which means it was sent down to prophet Mohammed by Gabriel in the city of Madenia. The title relates to prophet Jesus ( essa) and the feast he had with his disciples. The sura is divided into many themes. Rules that believers should follow. Believe that there is only One God and that Jesus like Mohammed are messengers from God. Jesus and his mother marry peace be upon them where mortals ( they eat food like other humans) God asks Jesus in verse 116 ( did you say to people ((take me and my mother as two gods alongside God?)) and Jesus replies ( I would never say what I had no right to say). The last verse of this sura is a reminder to all human beings that God has ownership of the heavens / sky and earth and everything between them belongs to him. He has power over everything.
