Verses regarding the incident of Uqbah bin Abi Mu'eet who invited Nabi ﷺ for meals. When Nabi ﷺ came, he said..."I will not eat your food until you bear witness that there is no diety except Allah and I am the messenger of Allah سُبْحَانَهُۥ وَتَعَالَىٰ."

He then recited Kalimah after which his friend, Ubayy ibn Khalaf found out about this and kept on taunting him about it and told him... "If you wish to keep this friendship, then go to Nabi ﷺ , and spit on the face of Nabi ﷺ ."

Uqbah bin Abi Mu'eet done it and became Murtad and thereafter these verses were revealed..

وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ ٱلظَّالِمُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يَـٰلَيْتَنِى ٱتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ ٱلرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًۭا ٢٧ يَـٰوَيْلَتَىٰ لَيْتَنِى لَمْ أَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا خَلِيلًۭا ٢٨ لَّقَدْ أَضَلَّنِى عَنِ ٱلذِّكْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَآءَنِى ۗ وَكَانَ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ لِلْإِنسَـٰنِ خَذُولًۭا ٢٩
