I got into surfing because it gave me a way out of the suffocating Los Angeles city life.

It was a vision and a passion birthed from pain (this country boy stuck in a world of concrete).

I didn't start out with intentions of surfing making me a greater man.

But as I continued my journey and became more aware of my own impact as a man on my family and others,

Surfing would ultimately increase my vision in life and expand my vision of the man who I must become to make that happen!
