Background

Kabelo Letsoalo formally known as Da Mayor Lawrence in the music industry started of as a music lover & dancer in the streets of ndofaya always have been passionate about the entertainment industry. The love for music started in his childhood ages attending family functions and got exposed to deep house music through his uncle. The 1st compilation he bought was Definition Of House Vol. 1 by Dj Fresh where he find himself being inspired by the Big Dawg

Breakthrough

Da Mayor started off his Djing career as 1 of the trio members in Just 4 Fun Entertainment & the group got recognized by a member of D4.9 Entertainment who was a resident Dj at a Pub in zone 7 known as Shosholoza. Da Mayor was known for his broken beat sets that led to him being invited in the East Rand & Diepkloof to name a few. After hosting 3 of his events Da Mayor started to get recognized by the other music pioneers & Entertainment industries which led him to start exploring new music & becoming a versatile Dj apart from his deep house sets. In 2011 Da Mayor was introduced into the production site by Tumelo Tshabalala formally known as Dj Dzo where their friendship started through a podcast the featured both their mixtapes on their chart. Ever since than Da Mayor has been exposed to the music industry & has proven himself through his musical sets. In 2016 Da Mayor joined a duo of Djs/Producers formally known as AudioGourmet & they have started their own annual music sessions known as Lil Soiree.
