In this followup episode we address some of the errors and omissions we made in our first report on the Fentanyl crisis. Dr. Michael Fabian joins us to provide clarification from an ER doctor's perspective.

1) We neglected to mention Fentanyl pills are being sold as Percocet and other oral opioids, which has resulted in deaths.

2) A few subscribers took issue with us mentioning that Fentanyl is used to step on both heavy and soft drugs like pot. For posterity’s sake, what we found is there are very few lab confirmed cases of pot being laced.

3) A larger number of subscribers took issue with us mentioning incidents of cops going down after coming in contact with Fentanyl. There are plenty of news reports regarding cops, but we couldn’t find any 100% proven instances of skin contact causing a Fentanyl overdose. However, it’s worth mentioning that it’s possible for Fentanyl to pass through a wound, eyes, nose, and mouth, resulting in adverse effects.

4) We also learned that Narcan is free in most states. We got it for free at Publix after Dr. Fabian sent in a script, but it doesn't appear that a script is necessary in most instances. We feel Narcan should be part of everybody’s prep kit.
