A native of the Bronx, he discusses in great detail the experience of living inside solitary confinement and the inhumane practices that he was forced into. Leighton is now a strong advocate for people whose voices and cries for help would otherwise be ignored. He is dedicated to using his platform to ensure that others won't have to go through the same thing that he did.
