Af: Die winde van die Arktiese Tundra huil teen die seëls van die navorsers se tent.
En: The winds of the Arctic Tundra howl against the seals of the researchers' tent.

Af: Die wêreld is 'n wit, eindelose tapyt van ys en sneeu.
En: The world is a white, endless carpet of ice and snow.

Af: Johan, die spanleier, stap angstig op en af binne die tent.
En: Johan, the team leader, paces anxiously inside the tent.

En: He thinks of the radio that remains silent.

En: With the wind slicing sharply against their faces, Johan and Elsa call to each other through the cold.

En: They push and pull until they reach the antenna.
