There is still no cure for breast cancer, but thanks in large part to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, most women today survive. According to Sheila Seiler, the director of the Evansville chapter of the Komen Foundation, if it has to do with breast cancer, there is Komen money involved. One of the largest Komen fundraisers/celebrations is Race for the Cure. Our Evansville race is September 27 at Eastland Mall. This Superhero themed 5K or 1 miler is in it's 18th year and over 10,000 people are expected to run. If the thought of curing breast cancer isn't enough of a motivator for you to run, there are ways to donate without breaking a sweat. No excuses.
