In September, Robert Falls announced the 2021-22 season would be his last as artistic director of Goodman Theatre. This week, the theater’s board named Susan V. Booth of the Alliance Theater in Atlanta as Falls’ successor. In 97 years of operation, Booth will be the Goodman’s first female artistic director.
