Suspense "The Devils Saint" January 19, 1943

The "Man In Black" introduces Peter Lorre playing a sinister nobleman who invites his daughter's suitor to spend a night in "The Tapestry Room". The story has a terrific surprise ending. + St Catherine’s Day 1927 and at a masquerade ball at the Opera House in Paris a young couple are having fun. They have only known each other for four days but plan to get married. Unfortunately, Eleanor knows that her uncle, the sinister Count Stefan Caharey of Hungary, would never permit it. The Count invites Edward to stay in his castle for a week and agrees that if after a week of staying there he is not cured of his infatuation he will allow the marriage with his blessing. Edward has to sleep in the tapestry room and Eleanor is afraid, as anyone who has ever slept in that room has mysteriously died…
