The Last Straw, Cheltenham.

It was inspiring to speak with Amal Patel from the Last Straw Cheltenham. A brother duo partnership based in Gloucestershire whose new business venture was founded from witnessing the huge amounts of plastic pollution entering our oceans while on holiday.

Like the WCD Group, their values are based on sustainability and while WCD is all about hydration and refill to save plastic pollution, Amal and Aahan’s business is focused on sustainable drinking straws that are made from biodegradable and reusable materials.  Their straws help protect the planet and cut single-use plastic following the Government’s ban of plastic straws in October 2020.

At use in cafes, bars, restaurants and sports venues in Gloucestershire, Warwickshire and London the Last Straw Cheltenham looks to educate and influence consumers and business with their bamboo and wheat eco-friendly products.
