If one action could reduce CO2 emissions by 7.5 gigatons (Gt) in the next 10 years (about 17% of all CO2 emitted in 2020) and generate economic benefits of US$1.3 trillion, shouldn’t we seize it with both hands?

This is the summary of the report written by Dassault Systèmes. In this podcast together with sustainability experts Dragos Dascalu, Severine Trouillet and Eduard Eijkman we take a look at how digital twins can be the catalyst for working on sustainability targets. For products that neet to meet sustainability requirements set 30 years from now, but will be designed today, this is quite the issue. With simulations for stages in the future first steps are made. The use of digital twin contributes to building a more circular economy. Collecting all the data during product creation, details the digital twin but also gives you things like the materials passport 'for free'. It paves the road to a marketplace for materials to be used and reused. This closes the cycle to stimulate and boost the circular economy.
