From the humble hut to futuristic self-contained housing complexes, human-made built environments have been altering the natural environment for thousands of years. Carving out transportation routes, laying down essential infrastructures, building up towns and cities, we've changed the earth's landscape.  But now, we've come to a point where our drive for development is not only changing the landscape but also contributing to climate change. The good news is that sustainable solutions are possible and can mitigate our urban environment's impact on climate change.
