Anything But Square

Sustainable September with Frida from The Inconvenience Store

Listen Later

Frida is the Programme Manager of Lentil As Anything’s ‘The Inconvenience Store’ A store in Melbourne’s inner North that allows customers to pay what they feel for delicious meals, and a store made up of food that would otherwise be thrown away. We sit down with Frida to talk about food, food waste, the future of food security, and what it’s like to run an NGO on a pay as you feel basis. They've also collaborated with us for two videos as part of the Little Food Festival.

The Little Food Festival will run from 10am to 3pm on 30th of September, but registrants are encouraged to log on in early September to start working on the Minecraft and Citizen Science challenges.

World-class art galleries and installations. A diverse range of food and drink. Thrilling, extraordinary events that capture the hearts of Melburnians year after year. Fed Square is anything but square. Since opening in 2002, Fed Square has seen more than 100 million visits and been named the 6th Best Public Square in the World. Frankly, we’re slaying out here and it’s nice to be recognised.
