In the first episode of The Green Exchange we are focusing on Sustainable Development within Urban City Planning from within the “Transition Arena”- how to engage stakeholders on a common vision and drive results.
The Urban Transition movement is rapidly progressing in the Øresund region. Still, our cities face a number of challenges across most sustainable development programs. Combining all stakeholders’ interests is one of them and playing with conflicting visions can be tricky business. In this episode, we will review findings from the DRIFT/MUSIC project involving 5 cities in Holland, UK, France, Germany and Belgium. We will talk to city officials and researchers who will share experience on how to move from a visionary innovation ‘impulse’ to an anchored vision and a solid plan supported by all change agents. We will be talking to Chris Roorda from the Dutch Research Institute for transitions, Christer Larsson- Director of Urban Development at City of Malmö, Tina Saaby- Chief City Architect at City of Copenhagen, Nora Smedby- PHD at Lund University researching Sustainable Urban Development and Casper Harboe- Director at Sharing Copenhagen 2014 and European Green Capital, Naja Poulsen- Project Director Urban Transition Øresund.

MADE POSSIBLE BY:

Urban Transition Öresund is developing cross-border methods and tools for sustainable urban development within the three themes; sustainable planning processes, guidelines for sustainable construction and sustainable finance both when it comes to new urban areas and to renovations in built up areas.
