President Rick Larsen of the Sutherland Institute joins Lee in the studio to talk about how a citizens referendum petition gathered enough signatures to upend the efforts of the Utah Legislature and the Sutherland Institute to change the tax structure of the state by decreasing the income tax but raising the tax on food and gasoline. In the wake of the citizens' success, the Legislature voted to repeal the controversial tax reform bill. Larsen also talks about priorities of the institute such as religious freedom and teaching civics in schools
