Sutra 16: Transcendental Desirelessness

तत्परं पुरुषख्यातेः गुणवैतृष्ण्यम् ॥१६॥

tat-paraṃ puruṣa-khyāteḥ guṇa-vaitṛṣṇyam ||16||

"That is the highest in which there is freedom from the desire for gunas on account of the knowledge of Purusa."

The purpose of this sutra is to explain what the highest level of desirelessness is, para-vairagya.
