Sutra 51: Fire Eats Fire

तस्यापि निरोधे सर्वनिरोधान्निर्बीजः समाधिः ॥५१॥

tasya-api nirodhe sarva-nirodhāt-nirbījaḥ samādhiḥ ||51||

"All being suppressed, by that suppression of that too comes the seedless trance."

The purpose of this sutra is to explain that once nirvicara samadhi is attained, the mind consumes the mind as fire eats fire, to attain nirbeeja samadhi or the seedless trance.
