The Director of Your Name Makoto Shinkai couldn't really stick the landing with his follow-up movie Weathering With You, but maybe that's because, for many years, he's always made the same movie. Yes, the characters are different, but it is always the same story of star-crossed lovers with a sad ending. With Your Name, he gave it a happy ending, but with Weathering with You, he couldn't help but have a little Climate dred at the end there. Suzume is a different story, though almost entirely.
