Week 13 is in the books!

We got us a great weekend of football for the Thanksgiving weekend! Who would have predicted a slate of upsets to go with the food AND leftovers, as the Friday game also surprised many. The league is wide open, with question marks up and down the standings as the season comes to a close and your favorite football analysts are here for it. Jon is in a weird place (as always) about his team and their unknown unknown state after a disappointing win (???), while Schif is at peace with the fact that his Falcons will tear their fans' hearts apart at every chance they get.

The rest of the weekend left us all with unanswered questions, like how the actual eff are the Bears the #1 seed and are we going to get a playoffs that don't feature the Lions and Chiefs? Will the NFL even allow that? Have the Eagles fully lost their way? Is Baker Mayfield now Jon's second favorite player after ONE locker room interview by a random Browns player? Is Thanksgiving dinner in Sweden safe from heated political debate? So many questions that your guys are here to answer.

Week 12 is in the books!

The guys are back. Jon got to sit back and enjoy a stress-free weekend of football while his Dolphins rested on their bye week. Schif's Falcons continue the roller coaster of torture that gives him the false hope that he definitely doesn't want in his life right now. But the good news is, the NFL delivered in week 12. There were plenty of close games all around the league. There were multiple overtime games as teams fought all the way to the whistle all weekend.

Some teams established themselves as a true force to be reckoned with (Hi Patriots!) while one player looks like the runaway MVP candidate (Hi Matthew Stafford!) But is his amazing season aided by some cyborg technology? Is Tom Brady allowed to say the N-Word on national TV? Are the Bears overly underestimated by this podcast, or have they only beaten mediocre to bad teams with bad quarterbacks? However, the league did not disappoint this week, with maybe the best slate of games we've had all season. There were overtime games, walk-off scores, comebacks and only a couple of blowouts. Week 11 is upon us!

We're in the double-digit weeks of the season, meaning it's coming to a close. Some teams are out of the pictures while others are quoting Lloyd Christmas in Dumb and Dumber: So you're telling me there's a chance! Other teams are cruising to a top playoff spot and hope to continue trending in that direction.

Schif starts off this episode with some sad news and some interesting news as well as some updates. The NFL never rests, so listen up as the guys break it down. Week 10 is in the books!

Now that we're more than halfway through the season, the playoff race is heating up. Teams are falling into position and our guys are here for it! Jon is on cloud nine because his Dolphins dominated the Bills. Where has this been all season? Is there hope for his team, or is this another set up for heartbreak? Schif is in the normal Falcons fan "what-if" purgatory, as he wonders if things would be different if his team went with a different coach instead of Raheem Morris.

Some games were letdowns this weekend (Hi Broncos/Raiders and Eagles/Packers), while others were filled with excitement (Hi Jaguars/Texans). The Patriots annoyingly look like a force to be reckoned with (AGAIN!) and the Browns look like they're mailing it in. The Giants fumbled away another lead and are changing coaches. Are the Bengals gearing up for the same move? There's a lot to discuss and our boys do it as they always do.

Week 10 is upon us!

The guys are back as the league gets more interesting. The trade deadline has passed and this season produced the most trades at the deadline since the 90s. GMs are active! Some teams that were thought to be active (Hi Dolphins!) didn't do as much as expected. While others (Hi Eagles!) continued to try and improve their rosters. Schif breaks down the most impactful moves.

Then the guys make their predictions. Schif wins the coin toss and makes a smart decision of pick order so that he can close the season deficit. Time will tell if that pays off. The guys are still pretty much clueless about this season of the NFL. Incorrect predictions were abound this week. A few games proved the "any given Sunday" mantra is still real. Some teams continue to shock the league (Hi Seahawks and Patriots), while others keep coming up short (Hi Raiders and Bengals) while others are ripping it all apart and starting from scratch (Hi Dolphins!).

Jon is bummed about some life developments and his team, while Schif was left heartbroken again by his. Such is life as a football fan. But the guys promised to cover all the games, and that they do!
