  1. Number 1: Fakakta

SVP and Stanford Steve are here to give their thoughts on various CFB storylines - including the recent AP Top 25 Preseason Poll release - ahead of the season and break down some NFL preseason games. Steve thinks Indiana is too low and the Hoosiers can do it again, and there also might be some former champs who could make noise in 2026 as well in the Big Ten. Week 1 isn’t great but Week 2 is loaded, and the guys give the games they’re looking forward to most just a couple weeks out. Optimism is easy to come by this time of year… is that what makes August great? SVP brings up the compelling case of why August might be one of the better months of the year. Plus, the Orioles are in the mix, Ty Simpson looked good in his debut, Cashmere Keith displayed phenomenal composure and SVP shares more insight into his progress on CFB 27. Finally, the difficulty approaching Arizona State sorority girls, various stories on why SVP was NOT a model student, a jellyfish update, thoughts on the Jayden Daniels situation, Super Bowl predictions, and Rest In Peace Skip Bertman. | SVPod Approx. 3. Number 3: Bird Seed & Hammers

SVP and Stanford Steve are back to share their thoughts from Sunday and Monday’s CFB games and discuss what interests them most heading into this NFL season. Ole Miss edged out Louisville in a Sunday night thriller in Nashville. Are both teams just really good? The guys give Trinidad Chambliss props for his late-game heroics but also acknowledge that the Rebels defense could be shaky. And how about Lincoln Kienholz?! The guys also break down SMU’s win over Florida State and how Mike Norvell’s days are likely numbered… The NFL Season is upon us. But why an Australia game?? SVP has some teams he’s high on, including Baltimore, Dallas and others, while Steve is juiced for an early season Pooptown showdown. Additionally, SVP lists the teams who are submitting early paperwork for Pooptown, Steve unleashes a hot take on the Bills, and the guys list their top 3 CFB teams after Week 1. 4. Number 4: Don't Give Your Crops Away

SVP and Stanford Steve Coughlin recap the Texas Longhorns miracle comeback over the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Oregon Ducks’ stunning defeat to Oklahoma State and more. Texas scored 21 4th quarter points en route to a program-defining comeback win. The guys break down the game from every angle, and Steve offers his takeaways from a first-person point of view as the Big Man was boots on the ground in DKR. Madness ensued earlier in the day, too, as Oklahoma State - who got wrecked by Tulsa in Week 1 - pulled off the unthinkable and knocked off Oregon, who has not looked good to start the season. What to make of Dan Lanning's group and QB Dante Moore, who struggled late against the Pokes. Michigan bounced back with a nice 17-10 win over Oklahoma in the Big House. The guys discuss what allowed the Wolverines to pickup the huge win and leave the Western Michigan fiasco a thing of the past. Additionally, Alabama blanked Kentucky 32-0 in the second half to easily get out of trouble in Lexington, Tennessee largely rolled to a stress-free road win over Georgia Tech, Mississippi State dominated Minnesota, Iowa won the CyHawk Game despite trailing early, Texas Tech held on in "mean" Corvallis, the ACC had a nice day, Steve's Big 12 prediction is looking better and better by the week, and the Dirty Terps kept vibes high in the Rent. SVP and Steve react to all the biggest games and storylines from CFB Week 1. Starting with none other than the bizarre ending to Michigan-Western Michigan. Did WMU get screwed? How did the refs decide there was a second left on the lock? SVP gives his unfiltered take about one of the more shocking turn of events in recent CFB memory. LSU throttled Clemson, but who did it say more about? Is LSU THIS legit? Steve then goes into depth on his time in Baton Rouge the last couple days, including lots and lots of oysters. Additionally, the guys break down Keelon Russell's debut, big days from Iowa, Penn State, Maryland, Indiana and Florida, along with spending plenty of time on Oregon's nail biter over Boise State.
