Most of the sounds in this song were created by processing my voice in different ways. The center is the electronic three-part harmony, a sound which felt haunting, claustrophobic, otherworldly, minimal and yet lush - so out of that technique came lyrics about feeling trapped in a relationship, not feeling understood, not having your gifts received, and the inexorable slowness of the work of letting go.
