Miriam Makeba, Nina Simone and Odetta - Three jazz/blues icons and three powerful women who gave a passion for justice to the Grammy winning a-capella ensemble Sweet Honey In The Rock. Sweet Honey added a band to honor those great singers in two concerts at JALC last season. Next summer they'll premiere their own composition with the National Symphony Orchestra.
