For the first time in years, the premiership is completely open with no clear favourite for this year's flag. In week one of the finals we see 2nd placed Port Adelaide take on the 3rd placed Geelong Cats, a local derby with 6th placed Sydney Swans facing 7th placed Greater Western Sydney Giants, a game of the year contender with 1st placed Melbourne Demons tackling 4th placed Brisbane Lions and to finish out the finals we see 5th placed Western Bulldogs face the 8th placed Essendon Bombers.
