Show Summary
Every Game Master has the occasional off night. So, how do you recover from a bad session? Does it mean you need to redesign and rescale/balance encounters. Are your players running wild shot over your big bad and story? The guys tackle the topic and more in this week’s episode.
We start with a definition of what a “bad session” is, and how to recognize it. We briefly mention ‘balancing encounters’ per Savage Worlds Deluxe. The gang throws out some options to deal with issues (both “narratively” and “mechanically”) and offers a few tips to avoid flat and unengaging Savage Worlds sessions.
We wrap up with the concept of “building tension” at dramatically appropriate moments to create more player engagement and stories.
