It’s crazy to see things with hindsight; knowing what we know now, the fact that Swimming by Mac Miller exists at all is truly incredible. The perfect encapsulation of his career, released just a month before he passed away. With songs such as Come Back to Earth, 2009, and So It Goes, it seemed as if Mac was aware of his fate, only this time, was fully ready to go. Though we may never get a new Mac Miller album after 2020’s Circles, the quality and excellency of the most important album of the 2010’s makes up for it. Rest in peace, Mac Miller. Most Dope, that’s forever.
