  • City of Hawthorn Centenary 1860-1960 grand parade
    Scenes of grand parade held along Burwood Road, Hawthorn, in July 1960 to celebrate 100 years since Hawthorn was proclaimed a Municipality. Parade heads westwards along Burwood Road and features the Town Hall, local Boy Scouts, Girl Guides, sporting clubs, vintage cars, marching girls, brass bands, horse-drawn carriages, Hawthorn Lions Club, local rowing clubs and many other floats (including Swinburne float).
