Switch pitchers are rare. So rare, that there was no rule that anticipated what would happen if a switch pitcher faced a switch hitter. This occurred in June 2008 in a minor league game, and it led to a cat-and-mouse game between the batter and pitcher. That pitcher, Pat Venditte, eventually made it to the MLB in 2015, and the official rule for this has been nicknamed after him. All this (and more) on today's episode.
