Human trafficking is real, horrible, and it happens everywhere. It won’t go away unless somebody does something about it. As followers of Jesus, we know that we are somebody and God wants us to play a part in bringing an end to this injustice.

God is looking for people with the humility to admit their own brokenness and the faith to follow wherever He leads. This is what God found in the Prophet Isaiah, and it’s what was lacking in the people of Israel during his time as a prophet. Just like He did with Isaiah, God is inviting us to humble ourselves under His mighty hand and have the faith to follow wherever He leads.

Throughout history, people have chosen to reject God and devote themselves to something or someone other than God. But, even though those idols promise a lot, they always leave us empty. How do we end up distant from God? Usually, one step at a time. One step of compromise. One step of disobedience. One step away from what's right and toward what's wrong. If you find yourself far from God, what do you do? You repent. It's time to turn from what's wrong and turn towards what's right.
