Heraclitus used to say that you can't cross the same river twice.

So, you can't walk into the same door, cross the same bridge or do the same things twice. No matter how hard you try. Life will move on. Time will pass. People will change.

This is a very liberating thought, since you will evolve and gain more experience as you progress in your life every time you cross that river.
