Who Are You in Christ? | Ephesians 1:1–2 Sermon on Christian Identity
Who are you, really?
In a world that tells you to build your identity through success, performance, status, and approval, Ephesians points us in a completely different direction. In Ephesians 1:1–2, Paul reminds believers that identity precedes activity. Before he tells us how to live, he reminds us who we are in Christ.
In this message, we look at three powerful words from Paul’s opening: apostle, saints, and faithful in Christ.
This sermon will help you see:
You are called, not self-made
You are set apart, not common
You are faithful in Christ, not sustained by self-effortIf you have ever struggled with failure, shame, purpose, or trying to prove yourself, this message is for you. Your identity is not built on what you do for God, but on what God has done for you in Christ.
Big Idea: Who you are in Christ defines how you live, not the other way around.
Scripture: Ephesians 1:1–2
If this message encouraged you, share it with someone who needs to be reminded who they are in Christ.
