The Pittsburgh Symphony Association will be hosting a Garden Tour in Fox Chapel this weekend!
Marketing member of the Association, Jean Horne, and one of Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra's first violinists, Irene Cheng, talk about the Garden Tour with Anna Singer. Jean highlights the 8 private gardens featured in the tour, with some as large as 15 acres. One garden is Smithsonian-certified as a museum without walls. Others have features such as koi ponds, waterfalls, wine bottle-shaped rooms, and more.
Irene talks about the live music in each garden by Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra members. She highlights the special performances by Adam Liu on the erhu, Rhian Kenny playing bagpipes, and much more. Student ensembles will take over for the PSO later in the afternoon, when members have to leave for the "Lord of the Rings" concert.
You can be a part of the Symphony Splendor Garden Tour on Sunday, June 29th from 11 am to 4 pm in Fox Chapel. Tickets are $50 for a self-guided tour, with $49 additional for travel on an air-conditioned bus.
All proceeds go towards the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Visit https://pittsburghsymphonyassociation.org/ to learn more and find tickets.
