This is a semi-sequel to 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea which proves that Jules Verne, despite having great sci-fi ideas, was a horrible chronologist and historian. Heck, the guy couldn’t even get contemporary dates right. Seriously, this is like me saying the Watergate break-in happened ten years ago, that bad. The only thing worse is this version of the story.
