While we say we believe in an extraordinary God, if we’re honest, many of us stopped believing he still does extraordinary things a while ago. Or at least, we stopped believing he can do extraordinary things through us.

But what if we’re wrong? This week, Chris Danes will explore the explosive claim of Paul that the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in us. What if we lived like we believed it?

At some point, we all find ourselves experiencing grief, sorrow or regret.  Our culture tells us to avoid such things at all costs, to run and hide from them wherever you can.

But in the Bible, such things have their place.  In the Psalms, there are songs and poems dedicated to experience and expression of sadness and pain to a God who cares.

This week, Mike Riddell will help us understand the Psalms of Lament and how they can give voice to our own experiences in life.

There are moments in life where we find ourselves craving justice for those who have caused harm in some way.  Moments where anger and frustration at the evil in the world almost feels like it could burst from us.  In the Bible there are whole poems and songs that do just that – they pour out the anger and frustration of human experience and call on God to enact justice.  But some of these Psalms are pretty dark and intense  Are they still ‘right’?  Are we allowed to pray those sorts of things?

This week, Bill Brown will help us better understand these types of Psalms and where they fit in scripture and in life.
