Charly Mann is master bladesmith based out of Hawaii.  He makes one of the most badass bowie knives you're ever seen.  After my conversation with him, I ordered one of his carry fixed blades, which is one of the cooler knife designs I've seen.  He has a fascinating background and I think you'll enjoy the conversation.
